Clear-label sensor bottle labelling: what to check before choosing a labeller.

Transparent labels can look excellent on bottles, but they need suitable sensing and set-up so the labeller detects the gap reliably.

The correct route is normally decided by bottle shape, label position, label roll details, target output and the way the machine will connect with filling, capping, coding or conveyor equipment.

For a more accurate recommendation, send photos or samples of the container together with label dimensions, roll direction, material, backing paper and the number of labels needed per product.

Feature specification checks

  • Declare clear labels early in the specification.
  • Send label rolls, not just artwork, so sensing can be checked.
  • Review bottle material and label contrast.
  • Test at realistic speeds before final sign-off.

Project details to send

  • Photos of the bottle and label position
  • Label roll and material details
  • Target output and line speed
  • Any reject, inspection or coding requirements

Machine options

Compare suitable labelling systems.

Lancing can advise whether a bench-top, compact automatic or inline labelling route is the best fit for your bottles and labels.

Buyer questions

Questions before choosing a bottle labeller.

Does this feature affect machine layout?

Often yes. Coding, sensing, inspection and orientation can change the labeller layout.

Can the feature be added later?

Sometimes, but it is usually better to specify it early so space, controls and integration are allowed for.

What is needed for a quote?

Send samples, label details, desired output and any integration requirements.
