Higher speed labelling needs more than a faster label head.

A high speed bottle labelling machine must control product spacing, label feed, container presentation and downstream flow. Increasing line speed without controlling the container can reduce accuracy and increase downtime.

For round bottles, an automatic wraparound system may be suitable. For flat or oval packs, a front/back labeller with side control is often required. Coding, inspection and rejection can also affect the final line design.

Lancing can review output targets and existing line layout before a machine route is specified.

Likely machine route

  • Inline wraparound systems for cylindrical bottles
  • Twin-side systems for flat or oval bottles
  • Product spacing and conveyor integration
  • Coding or batch marking integration
  • Guarding and access for production operation

Quote details to prepare

  • Target bottles per minute
  • Bottle shape and stability
  • Existing conveyor dimensions
  • Label size and roll details
  • Line layout before and after labelling

Buyer questions

Questions before choosing a bottle labeller.

What counts as high speed bottle labelling?

It depends on the product, label and industry. The important figure is the required output with reliable handling.

Can any bottle labeller be sped up?

No. The container, label roll, conveyor and control system must all suit the speed.

Does coding slow the line?

Coding integration can affect spacing and timing, so it should be included in the specification.

Can Lancing advise on line layout?

Yes. Photos, dimensions and output targets help narrow down the design.
